Participating optometrists are committed to providing advanced vision care. Physician services include a complete eye exam that analyzes eye health and vision function. In addition to eye exams, participating optometrists provide testing for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Doctors also offer glasses, contact lenses, and pre- and post-operative care.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Eye exams are a quick and easy process that should be performed annually, as your vision may change over time and an exam can detect serious health issues such as diabetes.
During your eye exam, your Independent Doctor of Optometry might ask you general questions about your health and lifestyle in order to gain insight into your vision needs. The eye exam will measure:
- Your general eye health
- Your overall vision
- Your color vision and depth perception
- Any indications of potential problems (i.e. glaucoma, retinal issues, cataracts)
